Within easy reach of New Milton and Ashley and so close to the main A31, this inclosure can still remain one of the few with any parking spaces left ! We like this walk for drizzly days as you can let your dog have a great run without getting too drenched yourself.

The paths are wide and mostly gravelled, with some side shoots for the more adventurous or better- shod! There is an circular walk under two miles or you can go off towards Wilverley or even go under the main road and into Wilverly Inclosure too. The main paths are accessible for wheelchairs, mobility scooters and pushchairs.
Beware of very boggy patches on this route and some belligerent ponies sheltering under the bridge if it is raining!
The Avon Water passes through here and our dog, Cwtch , will always mange to find a boggy ditch to explore somewhere along the route.

It is quite popular with cyclists and takes you through very mixed woodland and conifer areas. Long-term there are plans to improve the habitat as part of Forestry England’s vision for the future wellbeing of the forest.
