We discovered this inclosure on a day when Rhinefield and Anderwood car parks were completely full and we were almost back at A35, but needed to stop and let the collie have a run. This area is part of a triangle made by the A35, Burley Road and Danes Slough Inclosure .
What a delight it is – good tracks, if a little boggy and many ancient trees. Famed for wood ant nests there are walks in several directions and across the road are paths to Rhinefield Inclosure too.
I would recommend as a peaceful and fascinating area to explore and surprisingly quiet consdiering how near it is to major roads!
If you head right and follow the wider gravel tracks you will come to an enchanting little stretch of water – lovely picnic spot…
